hello. i am doing a review worksheet and have found the problem: simplify: 3(n+1)!/5n! i know that the answer is 3(n+1)/5 from the back of the book, but i have absolutely no clue how to solve this sort of factorial problem. can anyone explain how i would go about solving this? a careful and detailed step-by-step and a good link would be very much appreciated! thanks!solving factorials - stats?
my proffesos handed us a worksheet with some answers on it. for one of the answers he had the following equation - a round robin tennis tournament of 20 players requires that each player oppose every other player in the group. how many matches must be held? i am not really concerned on how he solve it but the way in he solved it, i missed his class that week and his formula didnt match the books. he had the following (20 2) = 190 i am assuming the 20 and 2 are factorials but i am not sure what method he used to go about it. any help would be appreciated btw the 20 and 2 were on top of each other.open question: please help! factorials ?
hi okay so i was absent from school on friday and my friend was kind enough to give me my homework to do over the weekend however, i was very busy all weekend and only got my homework done an hour ago., but i still have math and we're doing these things called factorials and i have no idea how to do them! she didn't give me the notes on how to do them! and well actually i got a few done, but does anyone know the numbers that you multiply to get the factorial of 9?? like, i know its 362, 880, but what numbers do you use to get that number? it doesn't say on google. :( also, what about 10, 8, 2, and 3? i'm sorry if it's a lot to ask, but my parents don't know how to do them, and i can't ask my friends for help because it's late and also i don't have a cell phone or a facebook or anything.. please help! d: my math teacher will kill me if i screw up a whole worksheet. :.
