- Some questions frequently asked by houseowners : math help! proving lines parallel, plz help!!?
♥ i drew an image of the math i am so stuck on. i have no idea what to do and i already failed the first homework and can not fail this one too. someone please help me out http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c47/msbevhills/math1.jpg the three theorems i am supposed to use are 1) in a plane, 2 lines perpendicular to the same line are parallel 2) if 2 lines are cut by a transversal so that corresponding angles are congruent, then the lines are parallel 3) if two lines are cut by a transversal so that the interior angles on the same side of the transversal are supplementary, then the lines are parallelis this the same as euclid's parallel postulate?
♥ i remember back in highschool proving that parallel lines meet simply by drawing an intersecting line accross the parallel lines and saying that as the angle of the intersection is reduced it will eventually become 0 degrees at which point both parallel lines have met. is this correct and if so, what if you draw another intersecting line at the point where the first three meet? my teacher answered simply by saying it is becasue of the law of infinity that they will meet. so what does that actually mean? any comments?where can i take pictures of geometry in the real world?
♥ tomorrow i need to take 45 pictures of "geometry in the real world." its for a math project. some examples are: triangle parallel lines transversal ray plane etc. i was going to do 6 flags but it only opens at 4. and then i was going to do the mall but its black friday so that won't work. please help! i'm desperate!!!!! i really need ideas of places with a wide variety of things. thanks!advanced math concepts - triangles?
♥ a plane flies 810 miles from a to b with a bearing of n 75 degrees e. it then flies 648 miles from b to c with a bearing of n 32 degrees e. draw a figure to represent the problem and then find the straight line distance and bearing from c to a.open question: math hw? help mee please.?
