- Some questions frequently asked by houseowners : geometry problem! helping tutor a student!?
♥ just curious, any other tutors or teachers. i've taught and tutored algebra, pre-cal, and calculus. i've gone through all kinds of calculus, differential equations, and physics in college. but geometry proofs just don't come natural to me apparently. i tutored my a student the other day in high school geometry and it seems like the proofs she wanted were way different than what i learned. her assignment asked to prove things i never did in high school or college. i felt somewhat embarrassed! do high school geometry teachers have their own ways of teaching proofs or what? are there some teachers that won't teach geometry and just teach algebra, and calculus?in right triangle abc, if p is the midpoint of hypotenuse ab, then ___ = ___ = ___ (see info)?
♥ this is a geometry question from a cumulative practice (ch 1-7; mcdougal littell textbook compatible) worksheet. i believe the answer is ap = pb = bc, but i'm not quite sure. this is review for my geometry final and i won't have the answers from my teacher in time before the final.. please help! one more question! is the bisector of a vertex angle the same as an altitude and a median?i'm having major problems with my geometry homework?
♥ okay say you had a picture of this triangle: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/bisection the one in the box where it starts out line blah blah blah. what would be the relationship between ac and ad and why? there's something like this on my homewrk but i don't understand it and there's others like what's the relationship between angle acf and dcf and why? they give us information for the first set of problems it says: use triangle abc to answer the questions. line cd is the perpendicular bisector of segment ab. i don't know if this makes sense or not but i really need help!!! please if you don't get it message me or something!!! my teacher always gives us problems on our worksheets that we didn't even learn in our notes!!!!!!!!!!!need help on geometry homework?
♥ i've tried but can't figure out how to do this. i have two of the answers but don't know how to get them. please show your work thanks. go to this page: http://faculty.cbhs.org/dherig/worksheets/practice/5-1%20special%20segments%20in%20triangles.pdf it's problems 1-3. the answer to 1. is ab=13 and the answer to 2. is bc=96. show your work for all three problems please! thanks.
